On September 3, 2011 the stunt crews of Virtus Stunts and Ohio Burn Unit where honored to be included in the Great Circle at Burningman and executed a 10 person full body burn at the request of Crimson just before the "BURNINGMAN" was lit on fire and exploded into the desert sky! "The stunt went off without a hitch and only a few minor burns were reported." says Batchelor. "We all thank Crimson for the honor of a well kept secret by her for her crews and the audience" The stunt was aided by "The Iron Monkeys" crew who led the ensemble into position and directed the ignitors through radio communications Via Crimson. At the command of Crimson to "IGNITE!" We burst into flames and danced away for approx. 40 seconds until put out by our ignitors. Gregg Gilkey was the stunt coordinator and delivered fuels to our pods and had direct communications with the Iron Monkeys. We were spread out over 100's of feet and had to gather back at the 9:00 position after the stunt and do a head count to make sure all were accounted for before the explosives crew could proceed with the ignition of the BURNINGMAN!! The 10 performers on fire and their ignitors are as follows: Nina Gilkey (Debby Batchelor), Charles (Cody) Linck (Mike Riedle), Forest "Woody" Martin (Penny), Jon "Knagi" Mitchell (Matt Rogers), Jesse Zander (Steve "Zane" Donahue), Andy Bank (Beth Hayden), Ted A. Batchelor (David Nesbit), Schuyler White (Bill Roddy Jr.), Mike "Beefy" Hallock (Todd McLaughlin), Jeff Germek (Joe Silvey). We as a crew of Guinness World record holders want to thank Crimson Rose for the Honor of being included in the night of the "Burn". We also want to thank the "Iron Monkeys" for guiding us through the stunt!
